Adrenaline rush at its finest. Hobbs and Shaw is a summer blockbuster at its finest, from its opening action sequence to its physics-defying finish.
The Rock is fantastic in every situation, and here he gets to hit a lot of men while looking awesome, and Mr. Statham gets to knock some dudes out with agility and speed. I enjoyed their back-and-forth banter as the film went, and you could sense they were starting to bond. As for the ladies, Vanessa Kirby kicks ass and not just one, but several, and she holds her own against the muscles. Eliza is once again on the sidelines, but it’s fantastic to see her in a blockbuster.

It would be fantastic if WB casts as her catwoman. Idris Elba does what he does best: he takes names and looks good doing it. While I wasn’t a huge fan of his arc, I’m glad they went with it regardless of how ridiculous it was. Overall, Hobbs and Shaw recommend that you should watch it if you want to experience nonstop action for two hours that will fly by.
